Workspace Metadata
Overviewβ
This guide provides instructions on managing metadata within a Workspace on the MAXRES Construct platform. Metadata groups and tags enable users to categorize and organize course content efficiently at various levels. This documentation explains how to create new metadata groups, assign them to content levels, and add tags to these groups.

By following this guide, you will be able to:
- Access the administration view to manage metadata.
- Create new metadata groups and assign them to appropriate content levels.
- Add new metadata tags to existing groups.
- Specify if metadata pertains to job roles.

- Super Admin Access: You must have Super Admin access to the MAXRES Construct platform.

Processβ
Accessing the Administration Viewβ
- Click the Hamburger menu in the top-left corner of the screen.
- From the dropdown menu, select Administration to open the admin settings.
Selecting Metadata Managementβ
- In the Administration view, locate and click on the Metadata option in the left panel menu.
Choosing a Workspaceβ
- In the Metadata section, use the dropdown list to select the Workspace you want to manage.
Viewing Metadata Groups and Tagsβ
- Once a Workspace is selected, its metadata groups and associated tags will be displayed.
Creating a New Metadata Groupβ
- Scroll to the bottom of the Metadata page and click New Group.
- In the Add Group view:
- Enter the Group Label.
- Provide a Description for the new group.
- Select the visibility level for the metadata group. Options include:
- Element
- KLP (Key Learning Point)
- EOs (Educational Objectives)
- TOs (Teaching Objectives)
- Content Objects
- Lessons
- Hidden (for default invisibility).
- If the group pertains to job roles, check the box labeled Is job roles?.
- Click Add to create the new group.
Adding a Tag to a Metadata Groupβ
- Locate the desired metadata group in the Metadata view and click Add tag.
- In the Metadata Group Edit View:
- Manage existing tags by deleting or modifying them.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to add a new tag.
- Provide the following details for the new tag:
- Label: The tag name.
- Description: A brief explanation of the tagβs purpose.
- Data Type: Select from the following:
- String (text data)
- Boolean (true/false values)
- Number (numeric values)
- Date (date values).
- Click Create to save the new tag.
